Spanish Equity is a small real estate company specialising in the acquisition, renovation and sale of flats and historic buildings in Valencia city centre. The company is headquartered in Valencia and was founded in 2004. It invests in apartments and old residential buildings in the city centre that require rehabilitation with the aim to renovate them and sale them at a profit. Our purpose is to manage the acquisition, renovation and let or sale of residential property for real estate funds and private investors; safely helping them to enter the Valencia property market and increase their earnings and asset value.

Key people

Spanish Equity is a company run single-handed by Felipe Hurtado Oldridge (BEng, MSc.)
Felipe was born in England in 1967 and moved to Spain with his family at the age of three. He returned to the UK to take a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master’s degree at St Andrews. He worked for various years in the aerospace and car industry until he met his wife Natalia, an architect, in Valencia back in 1998. Since then he has slowly devoted his attention to the real estate market where he and his wife have invested in properties that needed renovation in the city centre. At present Felipe is registered as a contractor and developer and devotes most of his time to renovating period flats and restoring listed buildings in the historical quarters of Valencia.
Felipe and Natalia live in a beautiful house in the outskirts of Valencia with their two children Leonardo and Nadia.

External Advisors
Dr.Alvaro Gómez-Ferrer (PhD in Architecture) Architect.
Álvaro is a renown architect in Valencia and an internationally known town planner. Formerly chairman of the Association of European Town Planners Álvaro has been advisor of UNESCO for the town planning of the historical cities such as Angra do Heroismo, Verona or Bethelem. He has worked as an architect and town planner in Valencia for more that 35 years and his experience and advice is mandatory prior to any of Felipe’s real estate commitments.
Álvaro is aged 62. Lives a wonderful life with his wife Mercedes in Bétera, and is expected to retire in the next two or three years.
